Job Overview:

Join us as a Trade Counter/delivery driver, a customer-facing role responsible for timely and safe product deliveries. Utilizing Google, Apple Maps, and Urgent Drive software, you will ensure efficient routes to maximize customers' billable hours. Additionally, this role involves maintaining product availability on shelves, processing sales transactions, and following stock integrity procedures. This position is based in our East Tamaki trade branch, offering a dynamic, customer-focused environment with frequent interaction with plumbers and builders.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid permanent work permit for New Zealand.
• Must possess a class 2 license.

Role Objectives:

• Be the face of the company, presenting a professional approach and a friendly demeanor.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and maintain a safe work environment.
• Keep the truck clean and organized.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Promote the use of the Franklins Trade App to trade customers.

Role Responsibilities:

• Operate a class 2 truck and available utes for deliveries.
• Load and unload goods at customer locations.
• Maintain the truck through regular checks and cleaning.
• Comply with safety regulations and use proper equipment.
• Record deliveries and fuel consumption accurately using delivery software.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
• Problem-solving any issues during delivery, addressing customer concerns, or finding alternative routes.
• Ensure accurate stock level records are maintained and report discrepancies.
• Prepare picking and checking of orders for deliveries.
• Process sales transactions using point-of-sale software accurately.
• Receive and process stock deliveries.
• Report health and safety concerns to the manager.
• Lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg).

Skills Required:

• Experience operating heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Excellent customer service skills and a professional approach.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good computer skills; knowledge of point-of-sale software is a bonus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with mobile devices and apps.

Experience:

• Plumbing or related industry experience is an advantage.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday and every second Saturday.
