Role Overview

This role involves on-road duties with varying work locations, requiring frequent travel. The primary responsibilities include addressing customer concerns, maintaining professionalism in customer interactions, loading and unloading goods, and operating trucks for transportation.

Responsibilities

• Address customer complaints and concerns
• Uphold high standards of customer service professionalism
• Load and unload goods
• Operate straight or articulated trucks for materials transport
• Monitor vehicle condition, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, and equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all vehicle aspects
• Communicate information with central dispatch
• Record cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage
• Ensure cargo safety through tarping and security measures

Required Credentials

• Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses
• Class 1/1F/A License (semi-trailer trucks)
• Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
• Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Experience and Specialization

• Knowledge of documentation
• Inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
• Maintenance and repair documentation
• Familiarity with trucking and equipment types, especially tractor-trailers
• Experience with communication systems, such as trip recorders
• Transportation/travel experience, both provincial/territorial and regional
