We are hiring Fixed Route Bus Drivers for Asheville Rides Transit (ART) public transit services. We seek dependable, customer-focused candidates who thrive in a dynamic environment.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum age: 21 years
• At least 3 years of driving experience
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with air brakes and passenger endorsement (training provided)
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass:
  • Pre-employment FTA/DOT drug screening
  • FTA/DOT-mandated physical exam
  • Criminal background check
• Compliance with FTA/DOT substance abuse testing regulations

Work Schedule:

• ART operates daily from 4:30 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
• Shifts vary based on seniority and include:
  • Day, evening, night, and split shifts
  • Weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Passenger endorsement

Experience Level:
