Full Job Description:

Schedule:

• Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
• Additional days are available if desired.
• Overnight stays 1-2 nights per week depending on the route (includes per diem and hotel).

Compensation:

• $70k+ per year, depending on routes and loads.
• Benefits starting Day One!

Job Description:

• Operate a tractor-trailer (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler) to transport and deliver dry groceries to retail customers.
• Provide a positive customer experience with professional delivery service.

Responsibilities:

• Average of 3 stops per day, with possible overnight stays.
• Unload and assist with deliveries.
• Handle various types of pallets with varying heights and weights.
• Perform backhauls whenever possible.
• Count cases and verify pallets for specific customers.
• Maneuver trucks in tight urban areas and operate trailer lift gates safely (training and certification provided).
• Use electronic logging equipment (People Net) as per I.C.C. regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Travel: Yes

Environment:

• Grocery Warehouse: 50°F to 90°F
• Perishable Warehouse: 28°F to 60°F
• Freezer: -20°F to 0°F

Skills and Requirements:

• DOT Certified, Class A Commercial Driver's License.
• Experience with retail deliveries in urban locations.
• Lift gate deliveries with Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam.
• Union-represented position.
• Customer service focuses on the enjoyment of working with people.
• MHE certification (company will certify upon hire).

Experience:

• One year of prior CDL-A driving experience with urban deliveries.
• Ability to understand and execute assignments based on the bill of lading.
• DOT Certified.
